"It was accidental. I've got plenty of other ribs. It just happened to be on that one particular spot. I've been on ice the last two days and  I trained well today.  I did a bit of contact and pulled up fine.

"I've been using the float tank. A one-hour sleep is the equivalent of four to five hours. It helps with recovery. If you're struggling with injuries, it helps with fatigue, sleep and stress levels.

"Damien Cook uses cryotherapy. There's a lot of science behind it, and it all depends on the individual player and what they believe works. I like the float because it helps me sleep and relax.''

Inglis this week posted an image of himself at the Sydney Float Centre in Darlinghurst, who have  Sydney Roosters players, Kieran Foran and even Hollywood heartthrob Zac Efron among their high-profile clients.

Inglis also has a sore shoulder from a Jesse Bromwich chicken-wing tackle that was not deemed worthy of a charge by the match review committee.

The 32-year-old will mark up on Dragons rookie sensation Zac Lomax, 19, or the man who left him ''embarrassed'' when he stood him up earlier this season, Euan Aitken.

He was flattered when told about Fairfax Media's story of Lomax and how he once had GI posters on his bedroom walls.

"Posters? Did he? Those posters probably have darts in my face now,'' Inglis said with a laugh.

"I did sit back and watch that game on Sunday. He's deceptively strong. He looks tall. I've never seen him in real life, and for a 19-year-old – he's 11 years younger than me – if he plays I won't take him lightly.

"If Euan plays, it will be the same thing. I'll treat them the same.''

Inglis overcame two injury scares in the first half against the Storm to score one of the great individual tries. The one-time AFL target somehow plucked a Reynolds bomb out of the air from Vunivalu and Curtis Scott, then turned and powered past good mate Billy Slater to score.

Inglis, who spent time working with Carlton during his time with the Storm, then later a few sessions with the Swans when at Souths, said it was always nice to score but it meant little given Souths lost a thriller by one point.
