Save $300, plus up to $525 in trade-in credit on unlocked models

In a shocking twist for those of us over the age of 30, foldable phones are back in a cool, new form. Foldable screens seem like an impossible premise, but they work, which means you can get something like the incredible Samsung Galaxy Z Fold5 and effectively have a two-in-one phone and tablet in your pocket. You could even grab a Bluetooth keyboard if you fancy more options.

The Z Fold5 is pricey, however, so we've scoured all the major retailers and carriers to find you some good deals that can make it more affordable. Some of these retailers even offer freebies or discounts on other Samsung accessories that can complement your snazzy new phone.

There are no straightforward discounts on the retail price right now, but there are other reasons to purchase directly from Samsung. There are exclusive colors available, and the trade-in offer for all configurations is up to $800 in trade-in credit. The latest Apple and Samsung phones will net you the most credit. If you're trading the Z Fold4 in and it's in good condition, you'll likely save around $600, but even old and damaged phones will still net you a minimum discount of $300. Samsung also accepts select tablets and smartwatches for trade-in for a smaller discount. You can also get an extra $100 in savings with the following carriers: AT&T, T-Mobile and Verizon.

Samsung offers a 30% discount to students, educators, first responders and US government employees.

Best Buy not only has $300 off at the moment, but it also has an excellent trade-in program that can save you up to $525, with the latest iPhones netting you the biggest discounts. Color options for this model are icy blue or phantom black. You also get one free month of Xbox Game Pass as a bonus with purchase.

There's no discount for Verizon customers, but they will get enhanced trade-in credit of up to $1,000. If you don't mind an open-box phone, you might be able to snag one of these in some locations. This can get you substantial savings, but those will vary by location and condition.

Note: Right now, Best Buy currently carries the 256GB and 1TB models.

AT&T is offering up to $1,000 off the Z Fold5 with an eligible trade-in, plus a free Samsung Watch 6. You'll need to purchase the phone on a qualifying installment plan. You'll get the full discount for any phone valued at just $95 or more, and even old and damaged devices valued at just $35 will still net you $800 in trade-in credit. The discount is applied as bill credits over 36 months and drops the price for the Z Fold5 to just $22.23 a month.

AT&T is also offering additional perks for qualifying buyers. You might be able to score an AT&T Points Plus Card from Citi valued at $340 or a free pair of Samsung Galaxy Buds FE if you meet certain requirements.

Verizon customers adding a new line of service can save up to $800 with an eligible trade-in. That's a solid offer, but it's a shame it applies to new lines only.
