Sin bin: Warriors score after Yeo is marched
Three minutes into the second half and Penrith are down to 12 men. Isaah Yeo with cynical contact after a quick tap by Charnze Nicoll-Klokstad. That’s 10 minutes every day of the week. And moments later the Warriors are in. Love it.
Dylan Walker playing a very-Isaah Yeo style role in the lead-up, linking with his halves before Ali Leiataua is piloted through a gap outside Jarome Luai. Simple conversion to level up and now the Panthers are defending down a man for another nine minutes.

Penrith scrambling in defence and denying Warriors raids on the left and right - a pair of knocked down passes that would draw sin bins in the 15-man code.
It keeps the Warriors at bay though and that’s tough for the Kiwi side. Gallant stuff from them without Wayde Egan and a few injuries but the Panthers are too good in defence. That’s half-time and the score is probably a fair reflection of what’s been a pretty entertaining contest.

Try: Luai lights up with 70-metre effort
Jarome Luai. There’s a bit of magic. And in the No.7 jersey. Benji Marshall will like that one after 32 minutes. A show and go and he beats Paul Roache with it on his own side of halfway. Been a long time since I can remember Luai making a break like this.
He finds Scott Sorensen in support and then back up in turn to score under the posts. Penrith back in front, Warriors under pressure but still fighting. Though Penrith do fumble the pill straight off the kick-off.

Pengilly: The Warriors biggest issue today
A disclaimer to Adam’s analysis, this came before Montoya’s try. But the last tackle issue still stands for the Warriors.
Try: Montoya injured in acrobatic put down
Marcelo Montoya! He scores. And now he’s a bit broken. The Warriors get their act together in attack. Nicoll-Klokstad with a floating cut out ball gets Montoya one-on-one with Turuva. He beats him and the cover defence with a typically acrobatic put down.
But he’s writhing in pain afterwards and has now gone straight up the tunnel with a shoulder injury and then a HIA. If he’s ruled out the Warriors can activate their 18th man.

Warriors are hanging on for dear life
Liam Martin races through after a Jarome Luai grubber. He’s battling Tuaupiki to ground that, and the young Warrior goes over the top of it. Martin does too, he’s ruled to have knocked on. Looks like Marto has been growing that hair out too - good to see an afro on a good country lad, more of it I say.
Next play Izack Tago is jumping onto a bouncing ball and also strolling through for a try, but it’s called back because Lindsay Smith knocked on in the lead-up.

Warriors lose Egan to HIA
Warriors are keeping their heads above water now against the premiers. A bit of heavy defence out wide snuffs out one Panthers raid and the Warriors enjoy one of their own, though Nicoll-Klokstad makes a meal of it - kicking straight down Brian To’o’s throat when he had numbers down the right edge.
And another strong set is finished poorly, those last-play offerings are suffering without Shaun Johnson. Maybe just run the bloody thing? Especially now Wayde Egan is also being sent for a HIA - he is an absolute all sorts, I doubt he’ll be back. Paul Roache on for him at dummy-half. Confirmation a few minutes later that that’s the case, category one head knock for Egan. Big blow.

Try: Edwards scores after 90 seconds
And Dylan ‘running man’ Edwards, he basically strolls through after 90 seconds with his first touch. Isaah Yeo with a lovely swing man role in the lead up of that right side shift.
Edwards is able to get on the outside of Adam Pompey as the Warriors defence compresses, and he eventually just breezes straight past him. Doesn’t convert his own try though. Grim stuff for the Wahs. A few minutes later Jackson Ford is off for a HIA too after he’s clipped making a low tackle. That’ll stuff up Andrew Webster’s forward rotations - Ford typically plays 80 minutes.
