Power star midfielder Zak Butters has copped yet another tag today, this time from Saint Marcus Windhager.

Earlier this month, Port Adelaide assistant coach Josh Carr said Butters had been putting in extra work to find ways to deal with a tag, after it had been limiting his impact his year.

After Toby Bedford had the job on Butters two weeks ago, Port coach Ken Hinkley said it was signs Butters was an elite player, but that didn’t necessarily make it easier to deal with.

“There’s so many players that I’ve been through over my time that work through that,” said Hinkley.

“It doesn’t happen overnight and it’s a pretty big task to have someone hanging on your back, holding you, wrapping their arms (around you).”

Much has been said of how it’s impacting the 23-year-old Brownlow contender, including agitating him.

Butters has been docked $14,375 already this year for fines during games including striking – the equivalent of 60 minimum speed limit infringements – taking his career fines to $29,375.
