We're getting to the pointy end of Paris 2024's blind football tournament, with the semifinals kicking off in just a few hours' time.

First, at 1:30am AEST, hosts France will take on the tournament's surprise packet, Colombia.

The Colombian's topped group B with wins over Asian champions Japan and African champions Morocco.

Although, it will take something special to get the better of France.

Buoyed by a parochial home ground, their only loss in group A came against the all-conquering Brazilians.

The blind Seleção are heavy, heavy competition favourites.

Since men's blind football was added to the Paralympic programme in 2004, they have not only won every gold on offer, but also haven't lost a single game.

Standing in their way of yet another gold medal match is old enemy Argentina.

They've had a fairly uninspired start to their tournament. Two goalless draws and a 1-0 win saw them finish 2nd in group B.

The blind football Superclassico kicks off at 4am AEST.
