3. Pauji Power has found form of late, having been placed in each of his latest two starts at Moruya and Canberra. He has been beaten under a length in each of those runs and races as though the extra trip here won’t be a problem.
Dangers: 6. Stand In Line has been placed in four of 10 starts and comes into this on the back of a last-start midfield effort behind Taumata at Wagga. He can improve in this, but does need to. 1. City Gold Ready has a win and a placing from 10 starts and was a beaten favourite leading into this. He has talent and can improve sharply. 2. Firealarm won on the Acton track at Canberra three starts ago and is not out of this if he can run up to that.
How to play it: Pauji Power to win.

Race 5 - 3:35PM KIRK’S BRIDGE FARM COUNTRY BOOSTED BENCHMARK 58 HANDICAP (1000 METRES)

3. Bentley Brook won at this track over this distance back in March and was placed in his next three starts before being spelled. He resumes from a spell here and while he is yet to figure in the placings from three first-up runs, he can turn that around in this.
Dangers: 7. Getty has been out of the placings of late, but has shown plenty of talent in his career and looms as a leading contender in this grade. 5. Artieos has won three of her past five starts and while this is tougher, she is worth including among the main chances. 2. Vainstream is getting on in years, but continues to race well and is not out of this.
How to play it: Bentley Brook to win.

Race 6 - 4:10PM SEMCO EQUIPMENT SALES MAIDEN PLATE (1000 METRES)

6. Apollo Ridge is making his debut here and has had a good grounding with four trials under his belt. He has been placed in the latest two at Warwick Farm and Randwick.
Dangers: 11. Broadcast Boogie was placed on debut at Gosford and then ran fifth at Hawkesbury before being spelled. He wasn’t far away in a recent Hawkesbury trial and a bold showing is on the cards from the good draw. 10. Blue Moves has been placed in two of her three starts and warrants respect here at her first run back from a spell. 4. Star Pastures is on debut and has had a number of trials to prepare. A forward showing would not surprise.
How to play it: Apollo Ridge to win.

Race 7 - 4:45PM GOULBURN MAZDA & ISUZU UTE BENCHMARK 66 HANDICAP (1300 METRES)

2. Cable Express is first-up from a spell, but had shown glimpses of good ability last campaign. He won at Wagga before running second in the MTC Guineas when fighting hard to the line after racing on the speed. He was spelled after failing to fire on the Kensington track, but has had a trial.
Dangers: 1. Dodi finished second at this track when last produced and only needs to run up to that to be a chance in this. 4. Breaking Ground was placed at Canberra last week and can figure again if he runs up to that performance. 7. Ronny Rock Art is an ultra-consistent galloper that was a winner here two starts ago and then ran second at Canberra when last produced.
How to play it: Cable Express to win.

Race 8 - 5:20PM GOULBURN ROOFING CLASS 1 HANDICAP (1400 METRES)

4. Ladyking showed talent early in her career before breaking through at start seven over a longer trip before being spelled. She resumes here and can sprint well fresh on the back of two trials.

Dangers: 5. Sir Lunchalots had performed well in trials before debuting at this track last month and doing the job well to score a strong win when racing on the speed and proving too strong. He can go on with the job here. 8. Media Frenzy has finished second in two of her last three starts and only needs to run up to those efforts to be a chance in this. 3. Spencer’s Spirit is a last-start Nowra placegetter that is worth including among the place chances again.
How to play it: Ladyking each way.

Best Bets: Race 6 (6) Apollo Ridge; Race 7 (2) Cable Express.
Best Value: Race 8 (4) Ladyking.
