Celebrities who backed Donald Trump have rushed to congratulate him on his victory and criticise his opponents.

Former wrestler Hulk Hogan posted a picture of himself with Trump to Instagram, calling for unity after the campaign.

“This election season showed just how much we all care about where this country’s headed,” he said.

Podcast host Joe Rogan, who had Trump on his show in the lead-up and endorsed him the day before the election, posted a video on X of himself watching Trump’s victory speech with the caption “WHOLE. LEE. SHIT”.

Dave Portnoy, one of several controversial social media personalities who backed Trump, used an Instagram video to attack the Harris campaign, accusing it of “acting like you’re better than us, smarter than us, and, frankly, insulting our intelligence”.

UK talk show host Piers Morgan, who interviewed the then-president in 2018, described his victory as “the greatest comeback in political history”.

“A testament to your resilience, mental strength & never-give-up mentality as your enemies tried to kill you, jail you & brand you the new Hitler,” he wrote on X.
