Throughout the year, it's typically found at the $499 price point but due to the ongoing sale, it has been reduced to the much more appealing $299. That's a big $200 in savings, which certainly won't last long considering the brand-name's appeal and integration of Dolby Atmos.

Alongside creating the three-dimensional audio space via Dolby Atmos, the Bose soundbar features TrueSpace technology to help heighten the surround sound and depth of anything you watch on a television. The model also has five transducers -- two of which fire upwards -- built-in that join forces to spread sound around the room.

While we haven't had hands-on with the 550, CNET editor Ty Pendlebury previously reviewed the Bose Smart Soundbar 600 and found it to have "excellent sound quality". This led them to summarise: "If you simply want to make your TV, movies and music clearer, the Bose 600 is a supremely confident soundbar".

Bose has an immaculate reputation offering sound quality. It also has a reputation for being expensive to access its tech. So a $200 discount is really not to be underestimated. Furthermore, now that Black Friday has ended and Cyber Monday is in the final stages, this is as good as it gets right now. We don't expect discounts this good again until 2025. So if you want a top soundbar to enjoy over the holiday season, then look no further.
