Earning the top spot on our list of 2024's best handheld consoles, there's certainly a lot to love about the Nintendo Switch. The one aspect many users aren't crazy about, however, is the Joy-Con controllers, which can feel small and awkward to use.

Officially licensed by Nintendo, The Hori Split Pad Compact is a larger and more ergonomic alternative, and right now you can snag it on sale for Cyber Week. Best Buy has knocked $32 off the usual price, so you can get your hands on one for just $48 right now. Just note that only the lavender variant is on sale, and this deal could expire at any point now that Cyber Monday has come and gone, so we'd recommend getting your order in sooner rather than later.

Compatible with both the standard Switch and the OLED model, the Hori Split Pad Compact is designed to be used for handheld gaming or as a wired controller via the included attachment with a 10-foot cable. It features larger grips, analog sticks and buttons for a more comfortable and responsive experience, and even has assignable rear triggers so you can customize it to suit your play style. The Split Pad Compact does not support motion controls, HD rumble or a handful of other auxiliary features supported by the original Joy-Cons.

And this isn't the only piece of Nintendo gaming gear that you can pick up on sale right now. Check out our full roundup of all the best Cyber Week Nintendo Switch deals still available for even more bargains on consoles, controllers, games and more.

While there's a handful of affordable alternative Switch controllers on the market, they're rarely officially licensed by Nintendo, which already makes the Hori Split Pad Compact stand out from the crowd. And at this price, it's cheaper than another pair of standard Joy-Cons, which means you're essentially paying less to get an upgrade.
