YouTube TV is getting more expensive once again. On Thursday, Google's streaming service began notifying existing customers that, starting in January, the monthly price for its base plan will jump from $73 to $83.
"To keep up with the rising cost of content and the investments we make in the quality of our service, we are increasing our Base Plan price for YouTube TV from $72.99/month to $82.99/month," a YouTube TV spokesperson told CNET in a statement.

"The new price will go into effect today for new members; existing members will see the updated price reflected in their next billing cycle on or after Jan 13. We don't take these pricing decisions lightly, and we give all members the flexibility to cancel their membership at any time."
YouTube TV last raised prices in March 2023, going from $65 per month up to $73. The new increase puts YouTube TV at the same $83 per month starting price as rival Hulu Plus Live TV, though Hulu's offering also includes Disney Plus (with ads), Hulu (with ads) and ESPN Plus.
