WHETHER you adore animals or not, this photo of an overly excited, leaping quokka is bound to make you smile.
While cycling during his first visit to Western Australia’s Rottnest Island, 21-year-old Campbell Jones from Landsdale, Perth, came across a friendly quokka. And, of course he couldn’t resist capturing a classic ‘quokka selfie’.
The photogenic quokka was happy to be snapped, Mr Jones told PerthNow.
“As I walked back to my bike, the quokka chased after me,” he said.
And clearly the little guy was loving the attention because as soon as Mr Jones put down his GoPro, the quokka jumped towards him as if to say “come back”.
OH MY, LOOK AT THAT FACE!
And in case this ridiculously cute photo wasn’t enough, here’s more adorable quokka snaps.
And yes, there is an Instagram account entirely devoted to quokka shots.
Well, this has made our day.
