THE sellers of Victoria’s most expensive house appear to have found a buyer for their multi-million dollar beachside mansion.
Miramar — Daniel and Danielle Besen’s sleek seven-bedroom weekender at 2252-2270 Mornington-Flinders Rd, Flinders — is under offer, just a few days after its expressions of interest campaign ended on Friday afternoon.

Peninsula Sotheby’s International Realty director Rob Curtain said he’d worked with “a couple of interested parties” during the selling campaign, and one had made an offer.
Mr Curtain said the sale was “good for the market” but could not comment further, as the final details had to be worked out.
The Besens — members of one of Australia’s richest families and renowned arts patrons and entrepreneurs — listed the Wood Marsh-designed beauty in October, with price expectations of about $20 million.
Mr Curtain said at the time the property was likely to fetch one of Flinders’ highest ever prices and be sought by local and international, and holiday home and primary home buyers.
It’s set on 29.54ha and resembles a butterfly from above, consisting of two boomerang-shaped wings connected by a short, glazed corridor.
One of the wings was purely designed for guests, while the property as a whole has seven bedrooms and multiple living areas.
One spectacular living room features a curved wall of glass which offers views of the spectacular landscaped grounds and a pool.
Daniel is the son of billionaires Marc and Eva Besen, who built the Sussan Group fashion chain.
Their Toorak trophy home at 9 Towers Rd hit the market shortly before Miramar and sold for a record price for Victoria of $26.25 million.
Also designed by Wood Marsh, the property cost about $22 million and took six years to build, but was never lived in.
It attracted seven buyers before being snapped up by a local family, with the sale inked by Marshall White Armadale director Marcus Chiminello five days before Christmas.
Mr Curtain said in December he hoped Miramar would “transact off the back of this sale”.
“We’ve had people who looked at Towers Rd considering Miramar as well. There are synergies in the architecture of both,” he said.
Fairfax reported last week that Danielle Besen had settled on a $6.5 million Edwardian on Toorak’s Power Ave in January, amid suggestions she had split from Daniel.
