Cosmetics retailer, Sephora, has announced it will open its first Brisbane store at Westfield Chermside in April.
It will be Sephora’s eighth Australian store and second store in Queensland after opening in Gold Coast’s Pacific Fair Shopping Centre in July 2016.
The beauty giant, owned by LVMH, also has stores in Sydney and Melbourne, adding to over 2500 stores worldwide.
“Launching our first ever Brisbane store is a very exciting time for Sephora Australia,” said Libby Amelia, country manager for Sephora Australia.
“After such great success with our Pacific Fair store launch on the Gold Coast, it was clear that we needed to bring a Sephora store offering to the sunshine state capital,” she said.
Amelia said the cosmetics chain had a strong e-commerce following in Brisbane and that the Chermside development would cater for the market.
The new Westfield Chermside store is part of a $355 million redevelopment of the Brisbane shopping centre, which is set to become the largest Westfield centre in Queensland.
The 414 sqm store will incorporate direct-from-the-US fixtures including the Beauty Studio, which gives customers exclusive, one-on-one access to Sephora’s experts as part of its complimentary and paid beauty services.
“The new Westfield Chermside will be a retail experience like no other,” said Garth Haslam, centre manager, Westfield Chermside.
“We know our customers want access to the best local and global brands, so we’re excited to welcome Brisbane’s first Sephora, among other international mini-major retailers.”
In conjunction with the Brisbane store opening, Sephora will be adding new and exclusive brands to their offering, including indie US brand, Youth to the People, and recently launched brands such as Huda beauty.
The beauty retailer currently stocks over 40 exclusive beauty brands including Marc Jacobs Beauty, Tarte, Kat Von D, Ouai Haircare, Nudestix, beautyblender, Ole Henriksen, Cover Fx, Anastasia Beverly Hills, Huda Beauty and its own private label Sephora Collection.
