DavidJonesDepartment store giant, David Jones, has today unveiled its ‘new look’ store in a south western Sydney’s Macarthur Square Shopping Centre.

The store opens as part of the centre’s multi-million dollar refurbishment and features DJs internationally awarded contemporary design ‘with a refreshed approach to visual merchandising and premium fixtures and finishes’.

“We have invested significantly in our Macarthur Square store to create a world class shopping experience for our loyal local customer base,” said John Dixon, CEO, David Jones.

“The store brings together a curated edit of brands coupled with a new cafe concept and services ranging from personal shopping to click & collect”.

“Macarthur Square services a significant area of South Western Sydney so it’s fitting that this store benefits from our award winning new design and premium services, providing customers in Campbelltown with a premium shopping experience on their doorstep”.

The department store retailer’s introduction of a personal shopping suite allows customers to walk in or book ahead for a complimentary styling session with a David Jones personal shopper, in tandem with expert intimates fitting and alterations services.

A premium cafe is located within the store’s womenswear department, serving organic coffee, brunch, fresh pastries, sandwiches and a range of hot and cold beverages.

“As the foundation of Macarthur Square’s aspirational fashion offer, the brand new David Jones is an exquisite department store ushering in an extended range of popular brands for our Macarthur Square customers,” said Gary Horwitz, head of retail at Lendlease, who affirmed DJs had been an important part of the Macarthur Square story since it opened its doors to excited customers in 1979.

“With its impressive transformation combining a stunning new layout, David Jones at Macarthur Square is a first class department store that will compete with the best in Australia,” he said.

The department store will offer local and international brands across fashion, beauty, accessories with an expanded offering from popular brands in these categories, plus new brands including Calvin Klein denim, Calvin Klein Swim, Running Bare, Puma, Anthony Squires, Zanerobe, Timberland and Midas Shoes.

A comprehensive homewares offering has also been added.
