THE BODY of missing Shazia Edah-Tally has been found at the bottom of cliffs near the Wedding Cake Rock walking track in Bundeena, on Sydney’s southern outskirts.

The 19-year-old appears to have fallen over 30 metres to her death, police said.

“PolAir located a body at the base of a steep cliff, along the coast track between the Water-Run and Wedding Cake Rock,” Inspector Steve Worthington said.

The teenage woman became separated from her partner during a bushwalk and failed to return at a nominated meeting point.

Her body was found just before 11am today after her boyfriend raised the alarm at 5pm last night.

“The pair were going down this coast track, having some fun and running ahead of each other,” Insp Worthington said. “I’m not ruling it (foul play) in or out.

“The Coral Track runs close along the cliff face, it’s a steep cliff in excess of 100 feet in depth from top to bottom.”

Police led Shazia’s boyfriend, dressed in a black hoodie, to another point along the trail so he could direct them to where he last saw her.

They are both understandably shaken and earlier had said they hoped she would make her way back to them.

“We want her to come home. I have faith she will come,” Shazia’s mother said.
