The Australian dollar is slightly higher despite heavy falls on Wall Street on Friday.
At 0635 AEST on Monday, the local currency was worth 76.81 US cents, up from 76.69 US cents on Friday.
US stocks fell more than on Friday after US President Donald Trump’s latest tariff threat on Chinese imports revived fears of a trade war between the two countries.
One Australian dollar 82.19 Japanese yen, from 82.38 yen and 62.56 euro cents from 62.68 euro cents.
