NSW police have charged two people with drink driving after stopping the same vehicle twice in a matter of hours.
Just before 2am today, officers from the Botany Bay traffic patrol pulled a Holden Captiva into a stationary random breath test site on General Holmes Drive, Mascot.
The 37-year-old female driver returned a positive roadside reading and was arrested.
She then returned a reading of 0.183 and was issued a court attendance notice for driving with a high range prescribed concentration of alcohol.
Her driver’s licence was also suspended.
About 2.45am, officers noticed the same vehicle travelling westbound on the M5 motorway at Mascot.
The Holden was stopped again and the 52-year-old male driver returned a positive reading and was arrested.
He was taken to Mascot police station where a breath analysis returned a reading of 0.159.
The Fijian national was also charged with high range drink driving and had his visiting driver privileges within NSW withdrawn.
The man is scheduled to appear at Downing Centre Local Court on August 9, 2018.
The woman will attend Downing Centre Local Court on September 9, 2018.
