TWO people have been taken to hospital after the car they were driving collided with another vehicle in Yokine after a police chase this morning.
Police said a red Mazda sedan was reported stolen and was pursued through several suburbs this morning.
Officers spotted the allegedly stolen vehicle on Corbett Street, Scarborough, at 9.40am and followed it through Wembley, Leederville and Yokine, before it collided with another vehicle at the intersection of Cape and Flinders streets in Yokine.
The car crashed into a wall and came to a stop on Blythe Avenue, police said.
The occupants of the stolen car sustained minor injuries and were taken to Royal Perth Hospital by St John Ambulance.
The second vehicle occupants were uninjured.
Police have charged a 23-year-old woman from Koondoola with one count each of stealing a motor vehicle, reckless driving to escape police pursuit and failing to company with a direction to stop.
She is due to appear in Perth Magistrate’s Court tomorrow, July 30.
A 28-year-old man is assisting police with their inquiries.
Meanwhile in Norseman, two trucks are understood to have been involved in a crash this morning, causing Eyre Highway to be blocked.
Police reports indicated a three-trailer vehicle had gone off the edge of the road about 8.45am.
It is understood one person has been treated for minor head injuries.
