UPDATE: Cyclone-like winds have caused havoc in a northern Perth suburb early Saturday morning.
The strong gusts toppled trees and damaged fences and cars along Summerhayes Drive in Karrinyup.
The fallen trees also bought down powerlines, which lead to blackouts for some residents that lasted until close to midday.
A Bureau of Meteorology spokesperson said while the damage occurred in the straight line associated with smaller cyclones, there was not enough evidence to confirm it as such.
The State Emergency Service reported 24 call outs on Friday night and early Saturday.
