You can also ditch the jacket tomorrow, with 26 forecast for Tuesday. However, showers and storms are expected to arrive late afternoon.
"We go from summer through to a humid an unsettled 26 tomorrow and then by the end of the week, wintry temperatures - even the chance of hail and thunder," Mr Stewart said.
By Wednesday, temperatures will start sliding, with an expected top of 20. Then, in true Melbourne style, it's back to just 15 on Thursday and Friday.
While the extreme changes in temperatures may cause us some wardrobe angst, Mr Stewart says they are not particularly unusual for this time of year.
"Springtime can be quite volatile. You get a taste of summer but you can also get the last throes of some wintry weather," Mr Stewart said. "The oceans to our south are still pretty chilly."
