Are any Australians competing?
There are. Oceania didn't get very many spots compared to the rest of the world — five solo spots and two duo spots — but six Aussies will compete at Flushing Meadows this weekend.

How is the prize money distributed?
Each player wins $US50,000 just for qualifying.
The winning solo player takes home $US3 million while each player in the winning duos team gets $US1.5 million.
There's also $US3 million up for grabs in the Creative Finals, which features wacky and difficult trials built by the Fortnite community.
How many players qualified for the Fortnite World Cup finals?
200; 100 solo players and 50 duo teams. 40 million players entered. There are more than 250 million Fortnite players registered worldwide.

How can I watch?
Fortnite.com, YouTube, Twitch, Facebook, Mixer or Caffeine
Fortnite players can also watch the finals matches as they play the game. In-game streaming will be automatically turned on for the finals.
How is the winner of each division determined?
Each solo player and team will compete in six Fortnite matches, known as a Battle Royale.
They earn points for eliminating other players and for where they finish. The player and duo with most points at the end of the competition wins.
The Battle Royale mode takes place with a 30 minute time limit. Last player or team standing wins.
This is the exact same version of the game that has become wildly popular in living rooms and bedrooms around Australia and the world.
