Like Pickett, Krakouer spent time in jail before reinventing his life and playing in a Grand Final for Collingwood in 2011.

While the incident didn’t go down well with the league, Krakouer hoped it would inspire other young men facing adversity to follow their footy dreams.
And with Pickett set to feature in this year’s decider against GWS, Krakouer’s vision will materialise.
“This goal celebration was to people in a similar position to me, things can change, keep faith and with a positive mindset, hard work and great support..anything is possible,” Krakoeur said via Twitter.
“Marlion Pickett has a similar journey to mine....mistakes made, jail, now in an AFL Grand Final.”
