Motto Motto offers modern and traditional Japanese-inspired dishes in a casual setting. Just a few weeks ago, it introduced a new meal kit and ready-made brand, Kyoto at Home, in response to the coronavirus crisis.

Motto Motto has secured wholesale customers for Kyoto at Home and is seeking expressions of interest from other interested retailers and distributors around Australia.

There are 400 people working across the support office, store operations, central production kitchen and the Kyoto at Home brand.

JB HiFi has appointed Melanie Wilson as a non-executive director. The appointment is effective immediately, but she will stand for election at the annual meeting in October.

She has also joined the company’s audit and risk management committee.

Wilson has extensive experience in senior management roles across global retail brands, including Woolworths, where she was head of online for Big W and managed Australia’s largest general merchandise e-commerce website.

She has been in senior positions with Limited Brands (Victoria’s Secret, and Bath and Bodyworks) in New York, and Starwood Hotels, also in New York.

Wilson has held corporate finance and strategy roles with leading investment banks and management consulting firms including Goldman Sachs (in Hong Kong and Sydney) and Bain and Co (in Boston).

Wilson is currently a non-executive director with Baby Bunting, iSelect, EML Payments and Property Guru Group (Singapore).
