The Australian dollar has risen Monday, trading at 71.68 US cents, up from 72.12 US cents on Friday’s closing.

The local currency was at 71.92 US cents on Thursday.

One Australian dollar buys 75.76 Japanese yen down from Friday’s 76.14 Japanese yen; 60.72 euro cents down from 60.90 euro cents; 54.80 British pence down from 54.97 British pence; and 108.50 NZ cents up from last Friday’s 108.26 NZ cents.
