When hit in Australia in March, the energetic performer was killing it at Adelaide Fringe, performing in the David Bowie-inspired show Rebel. "We had just won an award and had future tours booked," she says.

Stone is receiving the JobKeeper allowance through her long-term casual employer, Circus Oz. "This has totally floated this wee boat, literally and euphemistically, in the midst of a pandemic storm," she quips.
Stone lives in a cottage in Brunswick with her partner, a cat (Wolf) and a new iso-kitten (Dusty). The fresh addition is "keeping the black dog a bay." The four of them are also rearing apricots and figs. "Watching plants grow new bits is the essence of hope."
And she has a new project. "As soon as I started making masks, I woke one morning with a great idea. I’ve been beavering and registered the premiere of a work called TIME:LINE – The Longest Path for Melbourne Fringe Festival. It contains not an ounce of circus, but instead will be part public art installation, part Covid-friendly audio sound walk."
