More quickfire questions
Hello, how many tests in NSW were there?-Sophia
As per NSW's update released earlier today, there were 13,339 tests recorded in the 24 hours up to 8pm last night (up from just over 11,500 the day before).
That's... not bad, but we've all seen NSW pull bigger numbers than that. We'll see how we go over the weekend.
What is happening in WA over past 2 days. Were there more community transmission cases?-Jonathan
Nope, no new community transmission cases have been reported in WA over the past couple of days.
There have been a few cases identified in hotel quarantine, and a "possible" case reported in Collie was confirmed as a historical case and not included in WA's statistics.
What's happening with NZ flights put of Sydney? Do you think they will re-open midnight Saturday?-Jaydene
NZ authorities said that they were putting a pause on flights out of NSW for 48 hours while they waited for more information to come out about the state's two local cases and hopefully the source of their infections.
But COVID-19 response minister Chris Hipkins said at the time that they reserved the right to extend that pause for longer if they needed to, in the event of that source not being found or more cases emerging.
We're not likely to find out today what the deal is, unless we get the magic details of this mysterious missing link in NSW.
