9News understands a woman died at a property on Muller Road in Taigum several days ago, with her death initially being believed to be non-suspicious.

Investigators have returned to the property today and SES search crews armed with metal detectors are combing the area.

The property backs onto a large field and is across the road from Boondall Park and the Gateway Motorway.

An investigation centre has also been set up at the nearby Carseldine Police Station.
