When asked about free movement and domestic travel for those who have had their COVID-19 vaccine during a potential future lockdown, Mr Hunt said it could be a "possibility".

"The more people that are vaccinated if there were a breakout and a border lockdown, it is very possible that states and territories might waive that lockdown for them, they may be able to pass across state borders," Mr Hunt said.

"We're always at risk from places like Singapore and Thailand, South Korea and Japan, that there can be a breakout."
