Melbourne Storm vs Canberra Raiders, 7.50pm
Last week’s Storm team: 1. Nicholas Hynes 2. Dean Ieremia 3. Reimis Smith 4. Justin Olam 5. Josh Addo-Carr 6. Cameron Munster 7. Jahrome Hughes 8. Jesse Bromwich 9. Brandon Smith 10. Christian Welch 15. Tom Eisenhuth 12. Kenneath Bromwich 13. Dale Finucane 14. Harry Grant 11. Chris Lewis 17. Ryan Papenhuyzen 19. Tepai Moeroa
Tips: Nelson Asofa-Solomona (hamstring) and Felise Kaufusi (suspension) are due back and will come into the 17. Chris Lewis and Storm debutant Tepai Moeroa are likely to make way. Ryan Papenhuyzen copped a few knocks against the Sea Eagles but is likely to recover from a knee injury. He may get a start in place of Hynes, but Bellamy may be reluctant to change a winning formula, especially in light of Papenhuyzen’s minor injury. George Jennings (knee) and Aaron Pene (Achilles) are due back but are unlikely to break into the team.
Last week’s Raiders team: 1. Jordan Rapana 2. Semi Valemei 3. Jarrod Croker 4. Matthew Timoko 5. Harley Smith-Shields 6. Jack Wighton 7. Sam Williams 8. Josh Papalii 9. Josh Hodgson 10. Joseph Tapine 11. Hudson Young 12. Elliott Whitehead 13. Ryan Sutton 14. Tom Starling 15. Corey Harawira-Naera 16. Emre Guler 17. Elijah Anderson
Tips: Fullback Jordan Rapana is set to play despite facing a fine for a dangerous contact charge for an incident involving Dragons forward Blake Lawrie. Emre Guler is set to play after escaping sanction despite being placed on report for a shoulder charge on Jack Bird. Sebastian Kris is due back from concussion and will likely come into the centres for Matthew Timoko. Bailey Simonsson is due back from a toe injury and would likely take Harley Smith-Shields’ place on the wing or he could play fullback with Rapana shifted to the flank.

FRIDAY
St George Illawarra Dragons vs Penrith Panthers, 6pm
Last week’s Dragons team: 1. Jack Bird 2. Mathew Feagai 3. Cody Ramsey 4. Zac Lomax 5. Mikaele Ravalawa 6. Corey Norman 7. Adam Clune 8. Blake Lawrie 9. Andrew McCullough 10. Josh McGuire 11. Billy Burns 12. Tariq Sims 13. Jack de Belin 14. Talatau Amone 15. Jackson Ford 16. Jaiyden Hunt 17. Kaide Ellis
Tips: Tariq Sims is facing a one-match ban for a careless high tackle on Canberra’s Harley Smith-Shields. Matt Dufty or Tyrell Sloan will come into contention after the Dragons lacked spark in their loss to the Raiders, with Jack Bird likely to shift back to centre or even the second row. Gerard Beale, Josh Kerr and Tyrell Fuiamono are all available after serving their suspensions for the Covid BBQ breach. Cody Ramsey will have to pass concussion protocols after copping a head knock.
Last week’s Panthers team: 1. Dylan Edwards 2. Charlie Staines 3. Paul Momirovski 4. Kurt Capewell 19. Taylan May 6. Matt Burton 7. Jarome Luai 8. Moses Leota 9. Apisai Koroisau 17. Matthew Eisenhuth 11. Viliame Kikau 10. Liam Martin 13. Isaah Yeo 12. Scott Sorensen 14. Mitch Kenny 16. Spencer Leniu 18. Izack Tago
Tips: Star halfback Nathan Cleary is unlikely to return, but could be named in the reserves as he was last week. Ivan Cleary said he was unlikely to rush his son back given the Panthers spot on the ladder. “It is just about Nathan going through the process week by week,” Cleary said. “He got closer again this week and I know he is very keen to play and he is doing really well. It is about a bit of feel as well. He has got to be confident and we have to be confident. Luckily we have enough wins in the bank where we can be a bit more selective. We will just go through the same thing this week and I’m sure we will make the right call.” Michael Ennis said he would be surprised if we saw Cleary for another fortnight due to the Panthers’ opposition and place on the ladder. Kurt Capewell (dangerous throw) has accepted a one game ban and will miss the clash with the Dragons. Api Koroisau (contrary conduct) is facing a one week ban but will contest his charge at the judiciary, with Mitch Kenny on standby for the hooker role. Stephen Crichton is due back from suspension and he will replace Capewell. Tevita Pangai Jr is a chance to make his Penrith debut after being a late scratching last week due to personal issues.
Brisbane Broncos vs Roosters, 7.55pm
Last week’s Broncos team: 1. Tesi Niu 2. Corey Oates 3. Jesse Arthars 4. Herbie Farnworth 5. Jamayne Isaako 6. Tyson Gamble 7. Brodie Croft 8. Keenan Palasia 9. Danny Levi 10. Payne Haas 11. Alex Glenn 12. Jordan Riki 13. Kobe Hetherington 14. Xavier Willison 15. Rhys Kennedy 16. Ethan Bullemor 19. Albert Kelly
Tips: Halfback Brodie Croft struggled against the Knights and playing Albert Kelly on the bench wasn’t a success so he may come into the starting team at No.7. However despite Croft looking at his options for next year Kevin Walters confirmed he would pick the best team each week to get some wins before the end of the season. Anthony Milford could potentially fill Kelly’s utility spot on the bench with Jake Turpin still out injured. Thomas Flegler is due back from suspension and will likely come into the front row for Keenan Palasia. Palasia is facing a two-game ban after being charged for a careless high tackle. Xavier Coates is in line for a recall as Walters has said he will get him a game before the end of the season. Brendan Piakura is due back from an ankle injury and could come into contention for an NRL debut.
Last week’s Roosters team: 1. James Tedesco 2. Daniel Tupou 3. Adam Keighran 12. Sitili Tupouniua 4. Joseph Manu 6. Drew Hutchison 7. Sam Walker 10. Isaac Liu 9. Sam Verrills 17. Siosiua Taukeiaho 11. Angus Crichton 15. Nat Butcher 13. Victor Radley 8. Jared Waerea-Hargreaves 14. Lachlan Lam 16. Egan Butcher 19. Fletcher Baker
Tips: Back-rower Angus Crichton is sidelined until the finalsafter he was hit with a grade one crusher tackle charge by the match review committee, but a string of previous offences means he accepted a three week ban with an early guilty plea. Fletcher Baker will likely come onto the bench with Nat Butcher starting in the second row. Mystery surrounds Trent Robinson’s decision to play Jared Waerea-Hargreaves for just 11 minutes either side of a sin bin against the Panthers, but the coach said it was not related to his ill-discipline or injury. Dale Copley could come into the side after he was scratched last week despite being named. Sitili Tupouniua will likely switch back to the back row with Joey Manu moving to centre and Copley coming onto the wing.

Keaon Koloamatangi 12. Jai Arrow 13. Cameron Murray 14. Benji Marshall 15. Jacob Host 16. Tevita Tatola 17. Jaydn Su’A
Tips: Liam Knight is due back from concussion, but given his history with head knocks and the Rabbitohs form he is unlikely to be rushed back if he is not right. Campbell Graham’s return from concussion is also uncertain.
Last week’s Titans team: 1. Alexander Brimson 2. Greg Marzhew 3. Brian Kelly 4. Patrick Herbert 5. Corey Thompson 6. Ashley Taylor 7. Toby Sexton 8. Jarrod Wallace 9. Mitch Rein 10. Moeaki Fotuaika 11. Kevin Proctor 16. Beau Fermor 13. Tino Fa’asuamaleaui 12. David Fifita 14. Erin Clark 15. Sam Lisone 17. Jaimin Jolliffe
Tips: Justin Holbrook is likely to stick with David Fifita coming off the bench against Souths. “I’ll have a think about it,” Holbrook said. “I know we are a better side when he is out there. But I think the last few weeks it worked great for us. We are going well with that formula.” Jamal Fogarty won’t be breaking up the successful halves pairing of Toby Sexton and Ash Taylor after three straight wins. “Jamal has been great for us last year and this year, but I’m really happy with Toby Sexton and Ash Taylor,” Holbrook said. “They are combining really well and I like stability there and I will more than likely keep it as is and Jamal will have to wait for his opportunity. I’m likely to keep the same.”
North Queensland Cowboys vs Wests Tigers, 5.30pm
Last week’s Cowboys team: 1. Valentine Holmes 2. Kyle Feldt 3. Connelly Lemuelu 4. Ben Hampton 5. Murray Taulagi 6. Scott Drinkwater 7. Tom Dearden 8. Tom Gilbert 9. Reece Robson 10. Jordan McLean 11. Jason Taumalolo 12. Heilum Luki 13. Coen Hess 14. Mitchell Dunn 15. Ben Condon 16. Lachlan Burr 17. Jake Granville
Tips: Todd Payten is likely to stick with Jason Taumalolo on the edge despite his struggles against the Titans. “It is a starting point for him,” Payten said. “The lack of possession limits his impact on the game so Heilum Luki and Taumalolo on an edge in today’s game didn’t have the impact that we desired but it is something for us to build upon. I am going to see it out the next few weeks.” Murray Taulagi and Lachlan Burr will need to pass concussion protocols to play. “Taulagi is in worse shape than Burr, but we will have to go through protocols,” Payten said. Tom Gilbert will play after escaping with a fine form a careless high tackle charge. Reuben Cotter is due back from a foot injury and will come into contention.
Last week’s Tigers team: 1. Moses Mbye 2. David Nofoaluma 3. Michael Chee-Kam 4. Tommy Talau 5. Ken Maumalo 6. Adam Doueihi 7. Luke Brooks 8. Stefano Utoikamanu 9. Jacob Liddle 10. James Tamou 11. Shawn Blore 12. Luciano Leilua 13. Thomas Mikaele 14. Alex Twal 15. Zac Cini 16. Joe Ofahengaue 17. Kelma Tuilagi
Tips: Thomas Mikaele will need to pass concussion protocols after copping a head knock. Moses Mbye struggled at fullback, but Michael Maguire is unlikely to change a winning team. James Roberts is a chance to return to the team once he passes Covid protocols. Stefano Utoikamanu will play after escaping with a fine for a contrary conduct charge against the Bulldogs.

Tips: Prop Toafofoa Sipley is facing a two week suspension for a crusher tackle, but can miss just one match with an early guilty plea. Taniela Paseka is facing a stint on the sideline with a syndesmosis injury. Curtis Sironen and Kurt de Luis are likely to come into a reshuffled pack with Josh Aloiai likely to start in the front row.
Last week’s Eels team: 1. Clinton Gutherson 2. Maika Sivo 3. Tom Opacic 4. Waqa Blake 18. Haze Dunster 6. Dylan Brown 7. Mitchell Moses 8. Oregon Kaufusi 9. Reed Mahoney 10. Junior Paulo 11. Isaiah Papali’i 12. Ryan Matterson 13. Nathan Brown 14. Bryce Cartwright 15. Shaun Lane 16. Marata Niukore 17. Will Smith

Tips: Matt Moylan is a chance to come into the halves. “He’s getting closer, he’s as frustrated as anyone... it’s stopped improving at the rate we all hope,” Sharks coach Josh Hannay said. “He’s desperate to get out there, fingers crossed he’s available this week.” Will Chambers could be rested due to his ongoing sledging antics, which haven’t been helping the team win. Connor Tracey could shift back to centre for Chambers if Moylan returns at five-eighth. Hannay said the Sharks are in the market for loan players that can do a job and help the team through their injury crisis for the rest of the season.
Last week’s Knights team: 1. Kalyn Ponga 2. Enari Tuala 3. Kurt Mann 4. Bradman Best 5. Hymel Hunt 6. Jake Clifford 7. Mitchell Pearce 8. Jacob Saifiti 9. Chris Randall 10. Daniel Saifiti 11. Winger Hymel Hunt needs to pass concussion protocols but is unlikely to play after a copping a head knock with Starford To’a likely to come onto the flank. Hooker Jayden Brailey will return to the side after being rested last week, with Chris Randall to make way, but he could nab a bench spot.
