Parramatta's Ryan Matterson is set to cop a lengthy suspension after being sent off for a high shot in Saturday night's loss to Manly.
Matterson was dealt a grade three careless high tackle charge by the NRL match review committee on Sunday for a high hit that left Manly's Brad Parker concussed, and led to the Eels star being marched.
"This is ugly. He's been smashed," Nine commentator Matt Thompson said of the shot.

With carry-over points, an early guilty plea will see Matterson sidelined for at least three weeks, but he could miss as many as five weeks - which would rule him out of some finals footy - if he chooses to fight the charge and loses at the NRL Judiciary.
Matterson wasn't the only Eels player to appear on the committee's rap sheet. Joey Lussick (dangerous contact) and Maika Sivo (careless high tackle) were each fined for incidents involving Sea Eagles Martin Taupau and Tom Trbojevic respectively.
Meanwhile from the Cowboys v Tigers game, Wests' Jacob Liddle and Thomas Mikaele face bans for a grade one crusher tackle on Heilum Luki. An early guilty plea will earn them both one week suspended, or they can try their luck fighting the charge with two weeks the penalty if unsuccessful.

Tigers' Michael Chee Kam and North Queensland's Valentine Holmes were both served grade one dangerous contact charges for hitting opposition players while in the air, but will escape with fines of $1500 and $2100.
North Queensland's rookie forward Griffin Neame like Liddle and Mikaele will serve a one week suspension with an early guilty plea for a second half crusher tackle on Ken Maumalo and two weeks if he fights the charge and wins.
