A person potentially infectious with COVID-19 was present at Lyneham High School for four days from Monday, August 9, with the school now deemed a close contact exposure site. There are now 45 close-contact and 30 casual-contact exposure sites across the ACT. The rehearsal room for the instrumental music program at UC High School Kaleen was also named a close contact exposure site between 4pm and 6pm on Monday, as well as the route 30 bus from Dickson to Kaleen between Cowper Street and and Kaleen High School between 3.43pm and 4.10pm that afternoon. The Club Lime gym at the Canberra International Sports and Aquatic Centre in Bruce is a close contact exposure site on Tuesday between 6.30pm and 8.35pm and Wednesday between 4.45pm and 7.15pm. Coffee Guru in the Canberra Centre is a close contact exposure site between 12pm and 1pm on Tuesday and 10.45am and 12pm on Thursday. The Al Manoosh Bakery at 47 Mawson Place is a close contact exposure site for an hour between noon and 1pm on Monday. MORE COVID-19 NEWS: The casual contact exposure site list now includes the Dickson Woolworths (Monday between 3pm and 4pm), the Dickson KFC (Monday between 3pm and 4pm), the St George Bank in Fyshwick (Monday between 10.35am and 11am), along with the Stockade Training Centre in Fyshwick between 3.45pm and 5.30pm on Monday. The Civic Square post office is a casual contact exposure site between 9.30am and 9.50am on Tuesday, along with the Canberra Centre David Jones between 5.15pm and 6pm that evening. Woolworths Charnwood is also a casual contact site between 6.30pm and 7.10pm on Wednesday, along with the Shell petrol station on Lathlain Street, Belconnen between 7.50am and 8.10am on Thursday. Anyone at the Westfield Woden Woolworths between 5.30pm and 6.30pm on Tuesday needs to monitor for symptoms. Chief health officer Dr Kerryn Coleman has encouraged Canberrans to continue monitoring ACT Health's list of exposure sites, which is generally updated twice each day. Contacts must complete the ACT contact declaration form and immediately quarantine and get tested. People at close contact exposure sites will need to quarantine for 14 days regardless of their test result. If you were at a casual exposure site less than four days ago, you will need to get one test as soon as possible and then another test five days after you were at that location. You need to remain in quarantine until you get a negative result from the second test. If you were at the casual exposure site four or more days ago, you will only need to get one test and will be able to leave quarantine if the result is negative.
