If you had trouble pre-ordering the iPhone 13 with an Apple Card this morning, you're not alone.

Friday marked the first day of pre-orders for the new smartphones on Apple.com. However, numerous users reported problems trying to buy the iPhone 13 with the Apple Card

“Well that process went horribly wrong: my Apple Card kept getting denied,” one user tweeted.

“Why has this been the most frustrating iPhone Pre-Order of all time? The Apple Card was absolutely useless,” tweeted another person.

The source of the error is unclear. Apple didn’t immediately respond to a request for comment. But the pre-order problems are frustrating users because it risks delaying their iPhone 13 shipment date to October instead of Sept. 24 during the initial flood of demand.

Other Apple Card users woke up at 5 a.m. PT to place a pre-order only to be met with errors. “Order process failed 3 times and is now telling me to call. Failing to take my Apple card over and over again. Thanks for waking me up at 5am for nothing,” tweeted one user.

Fortunately, the problem seems to have a simple solution. Apple Card users say using a different credit card allowed them to successfully place a pre-order. Nevertheless, they’re losing out on a perk to owning an Apple Card: If you use it to buy an Apple product, you can get a higher 3% cash back on the purchase.

Not every Apple Card user seems to be affected. Others say they experienced no troubles pre-ordering the new iPhone with their Apple Card. “Mine went smoothly. It only took 3-4 mins,” wrote one user on Twitter.
