Prep students will be allowed to go back to face-to-face learning in classrooms for three days per week and Year 1 and Year 2 students will be able to return to classrooms for two days per week from October 18.

The remaining year levels will return to school between two and five days per week from October 26.

Childcare

Childcare will open to all children from October 26 if both parents are fully vaccinated.

Business

Hospitality venues will be permitted to operate outdoors under density limits and outdoor gatherings will be allowed for up to 50 people once 70 per cent of Victorians aged over 16 have been fully vaccinated.

When Victoria reaches the 80 per cent fully vaccinated milestone, hospitality venues, retail and entertainment venues will be allowed to operate indoors under strict density limits.

Masks

Mandatory masks will remain for now.

At 80 per cent, masks will only be required indoors.

Gatherings

Once Victoria hits the 70 per cent double vaccination target, there will be no limits on travel and outdoor gatherings of 50 people will be allowed.

At the 80 per cent fully vaccinated milestone, people can have up to 10 people over to their home.

From Christmas Day, private gatherings in homes will increase to 30 people if the 80 per cent double vaccination target is met.

Crowds and events

When the state reaches 80 per cent double dose coverage weddings, funerals, and religious services will return to 450 fully vaccinated people indoors and 500 people outdoors.

Construction

Construction will be allowed to resume at full capacity when the state hits 70 per cent second dose coverage.

Community sport

Community sport will also return when the state hits the 70 per cent full vaccination target.

Regional Victoria

Regional Victoria and metropolitan Melbourne are expected to be returned to the same restrictions when the state reaches 80 per cent double dose coverage, around November 5.
