“I’m happy with her and everything has gone according to plan,” Richards said. “She had that little tickover trial, I would have loved to have seen her drawn a little bit better, but we’ll leave that up to Tommy and see how we get on. I think 1400m is ideal for her.
“She is a very good mare but a bit light, so we are prepared to pick the right races for her and wait to get the group 1 next year.”
Meanwhile, trainer Bjorn Baker was fined $4000 after being found guilty of negligently failing to have sufficient controls, policies, protocols and education of his staff to ensure they did not commit a breach of the cruelty.
Three of Baker’s staff were disqualified on Thursday for acts of cruelty on a two-year-old in August, the trainer was not present when the incident occurred.
