Tonight’s Big Bash match between Perth Scorchers and Melbourne Stars has been postponed.

Fox Cricket can confirm the match will not go ahead after News Corp reported there was a positive test in the Stars coaching staff.

Fox Cricket will still go to air at 6:30pm EDT for a live panel show.

News Corp reported all players have been tested but the PCR results may not be returned in time for the scheduled first ball at 7:15pm EDT.

Haris Rauf was set to make his return to the Stars in tonight’s match, which was previously relocated from Perth to Marvel Stadium due to WA’s border restrictions.

The match is expected to be rescheduled.

The Stars sit sixth on the BBL ladder with three wins and three losses, still right in the hunt for a top four finish.

Perth was upset by Sydney Thunder last time out in Canberra for its first loss of the BBL11 season.
