Here's a quick wrap of what's happening with COVID-19 figures across Australia today, Saturday, March 19.

You can get a more detailed, visual breakdown through the ABC's Charting the Spread story right here.

This will be updated throughout the day as new figures are reported, so if you don't see your state or territory, check back later.

NSW

NSW has recorded 12 further COVID-related deaths in the 24 hours to 4pm on Friday.

There were 19,060 positive cases reported, with 11,429 detected via rapid antigen tests and and 7,631 through PCR testing.

There are 1,090 people in hospital, with 29 patients in intensive care.

Victoria

Victoria has recorded two more COVID-related deaths and 7,847 new cases.

It takes the total number of active infections to 49,022.

There are 210 people in hospital, with 23 in intensive care units and five on ventilators.

Tasmania

The state has recorded 1,479 new COVID-19 cases, taking the total active cases to 9,551.

There are 24 people in hospital with COVID-19, with two in intensive care.

No further deaths have been recorded.

Northern Territory

The Territory has recorded 232 new COVID-19 cases. 

There are 16 patients in hospital, with three requiring oxygen and one in intensive care.

There are now 1,555 active cases in the Northern Territory. 

Queensland

Queensland has recorded 7,120 new COVID-19 cases, to a total of 37,168 active cases.

There have been 10 deaths reported in the past 24 hours.

There are 235 patients in hospital, 18 in ICU.

Western Australia

WA has recorded 5,838 new COVID-19 cases in the 24 hours to 8:00pm on Friday night.

Four people who tested positive for COVID-19 have died.

Three men, aged in their 40s, 60s and 90s, and a woman in her 60s were reported as having died on Friday.

ACT

The ACT has recorded 1,122 new cases of COVID-19 over the past day.

There are now 5,777 people in the ACT known to be infected — the largest number in two months.

There are 34 people in hospital, two in the ICU and one on a ventilator.

South Australia

South Australia has recorded 3,724 new COVID-19 cases, taking the state's total active cases to 23,282.

No further deaths were recorded on Friday.

There are 147 people with COVID-19 in hospital, seven of them in intensive care. Three people are on ventilators.
