Fashion startup Consequence of Change has partnered with artist Niketa Law to launch a 100 per cent recycled heated puffer coat.

The coat is lined with Niketa’s piece Barambah Winds and contains four nano heating pads, along with four temperature controls and Dupont filling.

According to the brand, the coat has some additional features such as an attachable bag, removable sleeves, and hidden pockets. It’s also made from 100 per cent recycled nylon on the outer and 100 per cent recycled poly for the art lining.

Beverley Johnson, founder of Consequence of Change, used a Kickstarter campaign that drew 52 supporters to raise $16,560 over 21 days, to create the sustainable coat combining fashion, technology, art and functionality.

Located in Melbourne, Consequence of Chance was founded with the aim of strengthening sustainability through fashion and collaborating with both local and international creators to design colourful and quirky limited-edition art.

The coat is part of Niketa’s lineup, which is available on Consequence of Change’s website.
