WA recorded another 9243 new cases of COVID-19 on Saturday, down from the peak of 10,182 infections on Thursday.
The latest figures also reveal that there were 275 people in hospital with COVID to 8pm Friday.
Eleven of those were receiving treatment in intensive care.
Six historical deaths were reported, dating back to April 28.
They included a woman in her 70s, a man and a woman in their 80s, two women in their 90s and a woman who was aged over 100.
About 12,184 PCR tests were completed on Friday, with 3391 returning a positive result.
The remaining 5852 positive cases were self-reported rapid antigen tests.
The majority of the new infections (7671) were in Perth.
There were also 641 infections in the South West, where there are now more than 3500 active cases.
The latest figures come after WA on Friday marked a long-awaited vaccine milestone, with the Health Department reporting the third dose vaccination rate has reached 80.1 per cent of people aged 16 and over. It was 79.9 per cent on Thursday.
Premier Mark McGowan hailed it as a major achievement. It is the highest rate of all State and Territories.
The national average of the third dose rate reported on Thursday was 65.3 per cent.
“This is an achievement we, as a State, can all be proud of,” Mr McGowan said.
On Friday, WA recorded 9328 cases.
