Police said the three girls - aged three, seven and eight - and a four-year-old boy had been returned to their home about 9.20am on Friday.
Inspector Regan Draheim said their mother was grateful the children were back home.
“She’s very relieved, obviously, as any parent would be with their children being returned,” Draheim said.
“She’s as relieved as anyone would be given the situation.”
Police allege Joshua Carter, with identifiable Batman ‘Joker’ themed facial tattoos, was seen taking the children from a Maraju Yakapari Road address in a white 2005 Nissan Patrol 4WD with the Queensland Registration 063BC9.
Authorities are continuing to appeal for information that could help them locate the 28-year-old suspect.
Police say people who spot Carter should not to approach him, but to contact authorities.
Police described Carter, 28, as Caucasian, solid build, approximately 175cm tall with a shaven head and full bushy beard.
Anyone with information about the incident is asked to call 131 564.
Those with life-threatening information about the incident should contact triple-0.
