Queensland:
Queensland health authorities are aware of 15,042 active COVID cases across the state, with 1,852 positive tests reported in the past day.
Another 18 people have died and 305 people are being treated in hospital for the virus.
New South Wales:
Another 29 people in New South Wales have died with COVID-19 in the latest reporting period.
The state has recorded 5,790 new cases and there are 1,836 people in hospital.
Tasmania:
One COVID patient is being treated in intensive care in Tasmania, with 36 people hospitalised with the virus in total.
The state has recorded 208 new cases and zero virus-related deaths in the past day.
Victoria:
There have been 39 deaths recorded in Victoria in the latest reporting period.
There are 377 people hospitalised with COVID-19, with 16 in intensive care and six requiring ventilation.
The state recorded 2,532 new cases.
Northern Territory
The NT has recorded 97 new cases of COVID-19.
There are 22 cases in hospital. No new deaths were reported on Saturday.
Australian Capital Territory
The ACT recorded 212 new cases on Saturday.
There are 106 cases in hospital. Four of those cases are in intensive care.
The ACT also recorded 2 deaths.
South Australia
There were 566 new COVID-19 cases recorded in South Australia with 3 deaths also reported.
There are 165 cases in hospital. Eight of those are in ICU.
Western Australia
The state has recorded 1,165 new cases of COVID-19.
There are 233 cases in hospital. Seven of those are in ICU.
Four deaths were reported today, dating back to August 20.
