Emergency crews are helping police search for a missing woman who was last seen at her home on the New South Wales south coast on Friday night.

Elizabeth Markovic, 61, was reported missing by her family, who have been unable to locate her since the last time she was seen at her home in Kioloa at 6:30pm Friday.

SES, Marine Search and Rescue, Rural Fire Service, NSW Police members and a police helicopter are continuing to search for the 61-year-old.

For the second day in a row volunteers have been door-knocking the small coastal suburb of Kioloa.

Police said her movements in the lead-up to her disappearance were unclear.

Ms Markovic's family has serious concerns for her welfare because she has a number of medical conditions and her disappearance is out of character.

Some of her friends and family have joined the search effort.

About 110 millimetres of rain was recorded at the nearby Ulladulla weather station in the 24 hours to 9am Sunday.

Ms Markovic is described as being of Caucasian appearance, approximately 160 to 165 centimetres tall, of medium build, and with short grey hair.

She was last seen wearing a red floral shirt and long blue pants.

Anyone with information is urged to contact Nowra Police Station on (02) 4421 9699, or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
