A former Western Australian police officer has been found guilty of drugging and raping 13 women during his time as a serving officer.

It took the jury six hours to find Adrian Trevor Moore guilty of all 87 charges relating to the abuse, which spanned more than a decade.

The five-week trial heard from all 13 victims and the court was played videos Moore recorded of his vile and degrading acts, which included bestiality.

Moore, whilst a serving officer, met his victims on various dating sites, drugged them with a mystery substance and subjected them to sickening and degrading acts.

Many were unaware of what Moore had done to them.

The 52-year-old filmed his twisted exploits, which he claimed were either consensual or never happened.

But the jury that was forced to view those vile videos disagreed.

A tip-off to internal affairs sparked the downfall for Moore, who was once nominated for officer of the year.

Judge Alan Troy told the court he "greatly regretted" the jury had to see such graphic and confronting imagery, but it was "utterly unavoidable".

He said Moore's crimes "involve a degree of sadism that is unprecedented in my experience".

Moore resigned in 2018 after using his police computer to run background checks on dozens of potential dates.

Jurors in his case found some of the content to be so sickening, they required urgent counselling.

The former senior constable is now behind bars and will learn his fate in December.
