The states and territories are now reporting their COVID-19 statistics weekly instead of through the daily updates that were provided from the early days of the pandemic.

New South Wales
New South Wales has recorded 22 COVID-19 deaths, a drop from 24 last week.
Cases are up, with the state recording 19,800 new COVID-19 cases compared to 12,450 cases last week.
Hospitalisations increased, with 974 patients in hospital compared to 809 last week. ICU admissions are also up, with 32 requiring care compared to 17 last week.
Victoria
Victoria reported 41 deaths this week and 16,636 new cases, an increase from last week's total of 10,226 new cases.
There are 274 patients in hospital, up from 231 last week. There are 11 people in ICU, up from seven last week.
Queensland
Queensland has recorded 15 deaths, up from 14 last week.
The state also recorded 5,828 new COVID-19 cases, a jump from last week's total of 4,427 cases.
Hospitalisations have also increased to 202 while the number of people in ICU is 9.
Australian Capital Territory
The ACT has recorded one death and 1,194 new COVID-19 cases this week, up from 910 new cases last week.
There are 52 people in hospital, up from last week's total of 37. In good news, there are no patients in ICU.
Northern Territory
The Northern Territory has recorded two more COVID-19 deaths, taking its total since the start of the pandemic to 79.
The region has recorded 369 new COVID-19 cases, a jump from last week's total of 242.
But the number of hospitalisations has dropped from 15 to 14.
Tasmania
Tasmania has recorded one COVID-19 death, taking the total since the start of the pandemic to 199.
The state has recorded 2,126 new COVID-19 cases in the past week.
There are 25 new admissions to hospital and two patients in ICU.
South Australia
South Australia has recorded seven COVID-19 deaths and 6,867 new cases this week.
There are 83 people in hospital, including seven in ICU.
Queensland masks up, enters a fourth COVID wave
Queensland has entered its fourth COVID-19 wave with authorities recommending masks in certain settings.
Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk told state parliament there had been an increase in active cases in the past week and a doubling in the number of COVID-19 patients in hospitals.
She said Chief Health Officer John Gerrard had advised the state's traffic light COVID-19 advisory system switch from green to amber.
Queenslanders are now advised to wear face masks on public transport and in healthcare settings.

Australia's COVID-19 case numbers are on the rise with health officials signalling the arrival of new Omicron subvariants to our shores.
This wave is driven not by one new variant but a bunch of Omicron offshoots, signalling a "turning point" in the pandemic, according to Norelle Sherry, medical microbiologist and infectious diseases physician at the Doherty Institute.
"It's no longer one big wave of a single variant being replaced by another single variant," she said.
"We're actually in more of a COVID soup — not my original phrase, but I think it's definitely apt."
