The silver pointy trophies are being handed out to Australian artists who produced the best music in the past 12 months.
But before the ARIA Awards kicked off at Sydney's Hordern Pavilion, the celebrities had to walk the red carpet.
Here's a wrap of some of the themes we saw.
Statement sleeves BARKAA's sleeves have just the right amount of puff. (Getty Images: Wendell Teodoro ) Dami Im's long-sleeved gown looks like spring with those Jacaranda tones. (AAP: Bianca De Marchi ) It looks like someone was going to make a pair of trousers to go with this suit jacket, but Natalie Imbruglia said "nah, use that fabric for some big sleeves instead!". She made the right call. KYE also went with puffy sleeves, going with a ruffled look that's reminiscent of a bunch of roses. (Getty Images: Wendell Teodoro ) 90s nostalgia Cat and Calmell proving that 90s has made a comeback with those choker necklaces.(AAP: Bianca De Marchi ) Kita Alexander's belly chain really ties this nostalgic look together. (AAP: Bianca De Marchi ) Futuristic glam Given how close we are to summer, PANIA probably didn't need those gloves for warmth, but they were still entirely necessary. (AAP: Bianca De Marchi ) Genesis Owusu looks like a king from a dystopian future with the cape, gloves and sunnies combo. (Getty Images: Don Arnold ) Suits with something extra Missy Higgins showing us that "corporate pyjama glam" is absolutely a red carpet vibe. (AAP: Bianca De Marchi ) G Flip pairing a suit with a silver chain instead of a necktie. (AAP: Bianca De Marchi ) There was nothing boring about James Tawadros's look. Baker Boy wearing a suit that makes you feel like frolicking through a field of flowers. Pretty pastel Budjerah in baby blue. (Getty Images: Wendell Teodoro ) Emma Memma decked herself out in full sparkles, topping it off with a floral garland.(AAP: Bianca De Marchi ) Bold colours Nick Ward's coat looks like it's made out of a packet of jelly snakes that was left on the dashboard of a hot car. And it works. (AAP: Bianca De Marchi ) Tsehay Hawkins outfit is pure happiness. (Getty Images: Wendell Teodoro ) There was no way Hugh Sheridan was going to blend into the crowd in this outfit. Britt Cohen went for a one-shoulder look with a twist.(AAP: Bianca De Marchi ) Editor's Note: An image of PANIA was earlier incorrectly captioned with BARKAA. The ABC apologises for the error.
