And just like that they've got three quick wickets, the Aussies.
First, Nathan Lyon grabbed his first for the match, and Marco Jansen won't want to see a replay of it.
He came flying down the wicket at Lyon, and succeeded only in sending it straight skyward. Running backwards, Cameron Green took a great catch.
"Quality bowling, quality fielding, not so intelligent batting, Marco Jansen," Mike Hussey said.
"It's just done him in the flight - tossed up, a bit of overspin, he couldn't get to the pitch of the ball, went through with the shot, hit it way too high.
"It was a difficult catch - Starc was coming in as well and (Green) held his nerve well. Judged it nicely, a good pair of hands Cameron Green."
Ian Smith was even more scathing of Jansen.
"That's a poor shot in a number of ways. The head went down as soon as he made contact … he knew he'd made a huge error here, because he's a better player than this.
"What he's effectively done is give Australia the opportunity to get stuck into the tail in the 40th over, which is what they wanted.
"Nathan Lyon has done it again, out of nothing really."
And he's not wrong. In the next over, Mitchell Starc gets an edge from Keshav Maharaj, and it's taken safely by Steve Smith at second slip.
That's seven down now for the Proteas. Verreynne is still down the other end though, so they're still a chance to make some quick runs.
