The Saints continued on their merry way at Marvel Stadium, maintaining top spot on the ladder with the best record in the league presently (4-0).
The Ross Lyon renaissance is in full swing and, coincidentally, they have made their best start to a season since 2010 - the last time they made a grand final, and, you guessed it, Lyon was in charge back then, too.
Higgins continued his great form, backing up his four-goal effort last week with an equal-career best five tonight - his two biggest bags of his career have now both come against the Suns in the last two seasons.
In the end, the Saints absolutely destroyed the Suns in disposals 468-346 and marks 117-72, comfortably won the inside 50s 64-51 and scoring shots 28-20, and had the edge in contested possessions 167-163, as well.
But they couldn’t come away with the win unscathed, and Bytel (ankle) has become the latest addition to their very lengthy injury list.
