Australia has made it to the quarterfinals of the FIFA Women's World Cup with a 2-0 victory over Denmark.

Here's what you need to know about what happens next.

Who do the Matildas play next?

Australia will play either France or Morocco, depending on who wins their clash in South Australia at 9pm AEST tonight.

It's one of two games left to be played in the round of 16.

Colombia vs Jamaica will also be played tonight, with the result deciding the make-up of the quarterfinals.

When is the Matildas' next game?

It's this Saturday, August 12.

Kick-off time:

  • 5pm AEST - ACT, NSW, Queensland, Tasmania and Victoria
  • 4:30pm ACST - Northern Territory, South Australia

Where do the Matildas play next?

Brisbane Stadium, Brisbane/Meaanjin.

Will Sam Kerr be playing?

Striker and Matildas captain Sam Kerr is known globally, having had great success overseas in the Women's Super League.

The win over Denmark was the first time she'd taken to the pitch this World Cup, having been benched with a calf injury.

She wasn't out there for long though, playing 10 minutes of the game in the final stretch.

Kerr will likely play next week, but how long she will be on the field is still up in the air.
