Before bed, Tahlia, determined to address her chronic tardiness, set her alarm with a wildly generous margin.

When it woke her at 7am, she heroically resisted the urge to snooze and rose to make tea.

With so much time up her sleeve, she returned to bed with the newspaper.

She loved not having to rush!

She loved it so much, in fact, that despite regularly checking the time, it somehow got away from her.

And so she flew out the door without a shower or breakfast, texting “soz, running late!” as she went.

She vowed to rise earlier next time around.
