Supercars Championship leader Brodie Kostecki will start Sunday's Bathurst 1000 from pole after producing a stunning top-10 shootout lap around Mount Panorama.

- Cam Waters will start from third on the grid in Sunday's race
After an edgy start to his lap, Kostecki claimed pole position with some sheer brilliance late on Saturday afternoon.
Kostecki will start on the front row with Broc Feeney, who was second quickest but ultimately not close to his fellow Chevrolet Camaro driver.
Noted qualifier Cam Waters (Ford Mustang) qualified third after securing pole for two of the previous three Bathurst 1000s.
It was Kostecki's seventh pole of the season, and he will be aiming to make it as many race wins in 2023 on Sunday.
"The car was awesome across the top," Kostecki told Fox Sports.
"I just threw it down the hill and I wasn't actually sure if I was going to come out the other side.
"I'm very proud of this whole team and really excited to be starting off the front row tomorrow."
Ford rival Anton De Pasquale, who will start the race from fifth, declared it would be a "miracle" if Kostecki did not win his first Bathurst 1000.
De Pasquale's teammate Will Davison was the first driver out of the pits in the top-10 shootout.
Davison skidded on turn one and ultimately qualified in 10th spot.
