The pro-Palestinian rally is slowly dispersing from the Sydney Opera House with protesters headed down towards Circular Quay.

Dozens of police are following the group, with officers pushing some protesters out of the way in an effort to move them on.

The colours of the Israeli flag - which are projected onto the sails - were hard to see for those down at the Opera House forecourt due to proximity.

Father and daughter Maram Abu-Samen and Saud Abu-Samen said they believed the Opera House should be lit up with Palestinian colours tomorrow.

“It should be equal, Palestinians and Israelis live in this country and we deserve the same opportunity,” Saud said.

Protesters Siri Veseth and Yunesh Padayatchi also said they found the move divisive.

“I think it’s quite horrible. It’s narrow-minded and disappointed,” Siri said.

“It’s politics, it’s a major thing happening in the world, but it’s sad that only one side of the story gets told,” Yunesh said.
